Minuteglass Beta Launch
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009We are now officially in beta mode!
September 1st marks the culmination of several years of planning, and very hard work over the last 6 months. We’ve sent out the first batch of beta invite codes.
Next week a larger batch of invite codes will be sent out. We’re working this week to track down remaining bugs and solve some minor user interface issues.
Launching a product has been everything I thought it would be, and at the same time brought so many unexpected twists. Despite all of the planning in the world you will never be fully prepared for the rush of launching until you’ve done it.
I’d like to personally thank all of the people who have been and are involved with Minuteglass. Beginning with co-founder Tom Chapin who is instrumental in many of the ideas that make Minuteglass great (and he came up with the name). Kent Downer, who is key to dozens of user interface design choices and plays a major part in front end development. Andrew Smith plays a vital role in coding the JavaScript and HTML for various features. The folks at Flatterline for their expert Ruby on Rails and database skills — they are Curtis Miller and Chris Chandler
Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention several other key people who have helped get us where we are today. Andy Ferra has been helpful with both development, and providing ideas and insight that helped to make this product what it is. Gary Smith for his expert Adobe Illustrator skills. Justin Crossman for his assistance early on in the project with development.
Thank you, all.
You can register for a Minuteglass account now, and if you don’t have a beta invite code (you’ll need one) please email chris at minuteglass.com and ask for one.
